SYDNEY, April 28, 2025 — Global construction machinery leader XCMG Machinery (SHE:000425), in partnership with Brooks Australia, has wrapped up its highly anticipated “Dig Day” — a two-day test drive event set against the iconic red dirt of the Australian Outback.

This hands-on showcase brought together industry professionals and potential clients to experience firsthand XCMG’s powerful range of construction equipment. The event was designed to highlight not only the brand’s technical capabilities but also its commitment to providing machinery tailored for Australia’s rugged mining and infrastructure environments.
A Showcase of Versatility and Power
A total of 16 high-performance machines were on display, including everything from nimble forklifts to massive 50-ton mining excavators. One of the standout stars was the GR2605 Motor Grader, which impressed attendees with its electro-hydraulic steering system and joystick controls. It delivered ultra-precise grading thanks to real-time blade adjustment technology, performing exceptionally well in simulated road building and mining environments.
Learning by Doing: A Mobile Classroom in Action
To maximize the value of the experience, XCMG’s team turned the event into a “mobile classroom.” Participants received full-spectrum guidance—from safety training to real-time operating tutorials. Even first-time operators were able to confidently handle complex machinery after just a few minutes of hands-on coaching.
Built for the Heat: Field-Proven Reliability
One of the true tests came from the unforgiving climate. Machines were pushed to their limits in 40°C heat, showcasing their durability and consistent performance under the intense Australian sun — an essential requirement for the country’s remote mining and construction sectors.
Customer Feedback Shapes Future Development
The event also served as a valuable feedback loop. Attendees shared practical insights, which are now being reviewed for potential product upgrades. Key areas of improvement identified included enhanced user interfaces and more advanced cooling systems tailored to high-temperature conditions. There was also a clear interest in modular machine designs to meet the unique demands of various regional projects.
Driving Innovation Through Collaboration
“This event was more than just a demo — it was a collaboration,” said Minghu He, spokesperson for XCMG. “The energy and input from participants show how important it is to co-create solutions with our clients. What we’ve learned here will help shape the next generation of XCMG machinery, specifically for the Australian market.”
He added that the partnership with Brooks Australia plays a crucial role in XCMG’s regional growth strategy. “Combining our advanced engineering with Brooks’ local knowledge enables us to set new standards for the industry.”
